First-time setup

About 2 minutesInstall the App
Drag the macOS app to Applications, or run the Windows per-user Setup installer.
Open the App
Right-click and choose Open on macOS. On Windows, use More info → Run anyway if SmartScreen appears.
Choose a theme
Browse the real New Task and Running Task samples, then click Apply on its detail page.
Choose in the dialog
If Codex is already open, Helper shows a native Restart or Cancel dialog. No Yes reply in chat is required, and later switches are instant.
